Since then, we have taken part in Four World Championships in 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2023 in USA (Denver, Colorado), Israel (Netanya), Ireland – U20 Men (Limerick) and USA (San Diego, California) respectively. Uganda is Currently ranked Number one in Africa and Number thirty in the World with over 1,000 Athletes taking part in the sport in Club Teams, Academies, High Schools and Universities across the Country for both men and women at all levels.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS:

ULA invests in player development through coaching clinics, youth programs, and educational initiatives.

Sponsorship of these programs demonstrates a commitment to grassroots sports development and provides an opportunity to directly impact the growth of lacrosse in Uganda. Currently we have over 20 Schools playing lacrosse for both boys and girls in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels in over 30 Districts of Uganda. We project to grow the programs even further to reach at least 60 Districts by the end of the year 2026.

EQUIPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE:

As lacrosse continues to gain popularity in Uganda, the need for equipment and infrastructure is essential.

Sponsorship in this area helps provide essential resources such as playing fields, equipment, and training facilities, ensuring that players have access to the tools they need to succeed. We do not have equipment manufacturing firms in Uganda let alone Africa so most of the equipment (sticks, balls, nets, etc.) are all got from abroad mostly USA and Europe with a help of different development partners as donations which we put to good use.

We continue to strive to bring in as much equipment as possible to help us develop the game locally and champion the growth of the game in the region as well.
